Every single night on Orange Avenue in downtown Orlando, there is a musical
revolution happening. The renegades in this war may be a small faction, but
the troops are strong and the vibe is very much alive. This revolution will not
be televised, because it is genuine, creative, and respectful, and must
therefore be kept sidelined from the mainstream. The radio does not play our
favorite song. You are not judged by the shoes you wear.
No matter what night of the week you are going out, you can always look
forward to the very best of times at Thee Grotto and Eli’s Cribb, the places
where the locals hangout and underground music thrives. And even though the
sister clubs measure in at a diminutive 1600 square feet combined, don’t
underestimate the power of their monster sound systems,
great drinks, and friendly staff.
Along with being well built, very clean, and full of happy people night
after night, Thee Grotto and Eli’s Cribb both proudly showcase Central
Florida’s top DJ talent 14 nights a week. If you include “Deck Teck”,
the weekly DJ competition held at Thee Grotto every Tuesday, it adds up to over 200 DJs on
the turntables every month! Check out our calendar to see
what nights you can hear Breaks, House, Jungle, and other styles of electronica.
Thee Grotto and Eli’s Cribb are almost always free at the door,
casual dress is always allowed, and it’s 21 and up 7 nights a week so you can
enjoy grownup parties. Eli’s Cribb is open for happy hour starting at 5 pm
weekdays, and Thee Grotto opens at 9 pm daily, 10 pm on Sunday. Both clubs have
full liquor bars, and Eli’s Cribb has a great beer selection with over 60
different kinds of beer to choose from on the menu.
Out for a few minutes or out all night? Stick your head in
one of the front doors next time you’re downtown - you might just end up
finding your new night time home away from home.
Don’t know how to get there? Need directions? Just ax someone, sucka!
